Scheduling a Ride

You can schedule a ride up to two weeks in advance by calling our office.  We suggest that you call two days in advance to schedule your ride, but even last-minute trips may be accommodated.  All rides are provided on a “first come, first serve” basis.  When you schedule your ride, be sure to tell the dispatcher or driver if you are planning more than one stop.

Transit Alternatives buses may arrive up to 10 minutes late in picking up or dropping off.  Transit Alternatives buses will wait three minutes from the time the bus arrives for the passenger to board the bus.  As a courtesy to all other passengers, please be ready to board on time. Contact Transit Alternatives if you must cancel.  Last-minute schedule changes must be made through our dispatch center, including cancellations.  Failure to cancel or board the bus within three minutes of arrival is considered a no-show.  Transit Alternatives reserves the right to suspend service after three no-shows.

Seat belts are required by the state to be worn by all seated passengers.  All mobility aids must be secured within the vehicle by the driver.

Door-to-Door Service

Transit Alternatives offers door-to-door service. Drivers may assist as needed passengers safely from the bus to an exterior door of the pick-up or drop-off locations. Drivers may assist as needed passengers with packages (4), provided packages do not exceed 25 pounds total and can be delivered in one trip.
